Lost outnumbered, Karlsruher SC lost the away match in Dresden and have to look down in the table again. The captain was annoyed.
Arrived with a broad chest, departed with hanging heads: After the KSC had recently dismantled Hanover 4:0, the bitter disappointment followed at Dynamo Dresden. The 1:3 defeat was absolutely deserved and just. As was the dismissal of Kyoung-Rok Choi after just over an hour of play. Choi will miss the next home game against Heidenheim due to the traffic light card.
After 30 minutes passive and hesitant
Personally, coach Christian Eichner had relied on the eleven that had won against the 96ers. This team started confidently, acting with calmness and overview. But after 30 minutes, the team became too passive. Hardly any second balls were won, and there was a lack of courage and tempo in the forward play. The only goal was to avoid falling behind. When hesitant tackling was added to the mix, the goals were conceded.
Captain Jerome Gondorf, at least, was annoyed “that we allowed easy goals”. With the Dresden goals, “we could have grabbed them”. Gondorf admitted that “in the second half we let ourselves be outplayed”. Another shortcoming: Eichner cannot increase the quality through substitutions. As a result of the defeat, the team is looking down the table again. They are still seven points ahead of the third-last place in the table.
