In the wake of the announcement of the 23-year-old’s “time out”, the winger now renewed his promises via a statement on his Instagram channel. The Brazilian once again stressed his innocence and, in order to prove it, would “cooperate fully with the police to help them find out the truth”. Moreover, the release was a “consensual decision to avoid a distraction for my teammates and unnecessary controversy for the club”.
