This is how Lewis Hamilton celebrates the birthday of his bulldog Roscoe opulently

Roscoe is eleven years old: party with his five closest friends, a vegan dog cake and helium balloons for the birthday boy

Lewis Hamilton seems to have digested the anger over the disqualification at the US Grand Prix in Austin. That’s because ahead of next weekend’s Mexican Grand Prix, the Mercedes superstar took time out to celebrate his bulldog Roscoe’s eleventh birthday on Wednesday.

And when Hamilton celebrates his birthday with his dog, it’s not done with a simple treat. On Roscoes posted the seven-time Formula 1 world champion a photo of that dog party on which Roscoe can be seen with his five closest friends.

The six dogs sit artfully around a white coffee table, decorated with party hats, and Roscoe wears a crown and a purple plush scarf as the birthday boy. On the table is a birthday cake. Vegan, of course, because Roscoe doesn’t eat meat. Just like his master. Behind it hang helium-filled balloons.

“One time’s for’s the birthday boy’sss,” reads the caption under the photo. It’s a humanization that may seem bizarre to some – but is perfectly normal for Hamilton. Roscoe has been his faithful companion since 2013, jetting around the world with him on a private plane, and since 2020 the two Hamiltons have been just the two of them.

Three years ago, Coco, Roscoe’s playmate, died with a suspected heart attack. Hamilton was crestfallen at the time, posting on Instagram, “On her last day, we shared one more special moment that I will never forget. I’ll miss her snoring and how excited she was whenever she saw me. “

By comparison, Aston Martin driver Lance Stroll also has just over a million fans following him on the meta company’s social media platform.

Roscoe is something of a best friend for Hamilton. The Formula 1 star has even had the bulldog’s sperm frozen so that he can breed offspring in the future if necessary. And Roscoe earns his own money as a model. Daily fee: the equivalent of 660 euros. A fee that many mechanics or journalists in Formula 1 can only dream of.

According to his Instagram bio, Roscoe is “a vegan bulldog who loves to travel, play ball and be adored by the girls, especially when they scratch my belly.” And, “I like Frisbee and tennis.”

Incidentally, this isn’t the first time Hamilton has celebrated Roscoe’s birthday in a big way. Already a year ago, when the dog had “a round one” at ten years old, there was a fat dog party with a birthday cake.

Hamilton wrote at the time: “We’ve been through so much together – it feels like we grew up together. I can’t tell you how many nights he kept me up with his snoring. But he is still my best friend and such a blessing in my life. Roscoe, Daddy loves you!”
