Between satisfaction and incomprehension – the players of VfL Wolfsburg react to their FIFA 23 ratings. One, however, despairs of rising through the rating system.
Following Dortmund’s Schlotterbeck and Adeyemi and Paris St Germain’s stars, VfL Wolfsburg’s players also give their take on the satisfaction of their FIFA 23 ratings.
One, however, doesn’t really feel like looking at the ratings at all. Midfielder Yannick Gerhardt looks in the direction of the oversized map and says: “Nah, I’ll go straight on there.” Croatian Josip Brekalo is also rather reluctant to go into his virtual image at all. He hasn’t played FIFA for years, “the values are a cheek anyway”.
Leave room for improvement
Jerome Roussillon, meanwhile, gestures pretty much to show what he thinks of his FIFA 23 incarnation. The Frenchman takes the cardboard card and places it in the trash.
The reaction of attacker Lukas Nmecha is more joyful, as he virtually bursts into jubilation at the chance to view his ratings. The national player has his previous year’s rating of 74 ready and is “definitely satisfied with plus four.”
Lukas Nmecha and Ridle Baku see room for improvement. For the latter, the speed “could be a bit better”. The physicality, however, is fine for Nmecha: “I think Ronaldo had one point less last year, so I’m happy with that. “
Confusion with Arnold
Deeper into analysis, captain Maximilian Arnold: “How can I possibly get to 80 when I only have one position on 80?”
Player ratings cause confusion time and again, even in the community. However, these are not just made up of the six values on the FUT card. A total of 35 values are used and multiplied by a coefficient depending on the position. International recognition is added to the total result and the FIFA rating is complete.
Goalkeeper Koen Casteels, on the other hand, answers the question about satisfaction with his card dryly with a “Yes, it’s okay”, and takes it silently. With an 84 overall rating, he is the best in the Wolves squad.
