The dancing giant: Nick Woltemade is that strong in EA SPORTS FC 25

He scores for VfB, he scores for the German U21s – some fans and experts see Nick Woltemade as a contender for the 2026 World Cup. How good is the Stuttgart striker in EA SPORTS FC 25?

It took Nick Woltemade until the 32nd matchday of the 2023/24 Bundesliga season to get his first two Bundesliga goals. Then, against Gladbach (2:2), the breakthrough came while still wearing the Werder Bremen shirt. Since then, the attacker has made a sharp rise: after his summer move to VfB Stuttgart, he needed a little time again – but is now first choice in the offense.

Woltemade scored eight goals and provided two assists for the Swabians in the last 14 Bundesliga games. He recently impressed on the international stage: in the German U-21 team’s 3-1 win over Spain, the Stuttgart player scored all three goals – his early 1-0 was particularly impressive. Quite a few fans and experts would have liked to have seen him in the senior national team against Italy.

Woltemade is 1.98 meters tall and yet moves elegantly, sometimes almost dancing, through the defensive ranks – a rare combination that makes him even more interesting. Does EA SPORTS FC 25 reflect the striker’s qualities? How good is Woltemade on the virtual pitch?

The 23-year-old is at least better at the game than he was a few days ago: EA SPORTS has recently increased the VfB professional’s overall rating and career mode potential by one point each. His overall rating is now 74 points, which can rise to 81. This is not the first upgrade that Woltemade has received in FC 25 – when it was released, he was still at 69 and 76 respectively.

The former Bremen player is almost two meters tall, even in the football simulation. This makes his strongest attribute all the more remarkable: dribbling (81). He also has 77 strength, 77 sprint speed, 76 finishing, ball control and shooting power, and 76 dribbling. His heading accuracy (71) could be better for a player of his size – but in reality, he doesn’t score too often with his head either.

Top player or playmaker

Special moves and weak foot are each three stars – the former in particular could soon be increased in view of his fine solo efforts. His roles are “False 9+” and “Motor+”, Woltemade can play digitally in the center forward position as well as on the ten.

His market value in career mode is estimated at seven million euros – the release clause is 13.3 million euros. In terms of salary, Woltemade would probably have to be budgeted for at more than 23,000 euros a week. That’s what he currently earns in virtual Stuttgart.

Chances of making the TOTS?

Since his overall rating at the start of the season was only 69 points, the attacker in Football Ultimate Team (FUT) only has a silver card. Despite his strong performances in recent weeks, Woltemade has not yet been Player of the Month (POTM) or part of a Team of the Week (TOTW).

Does the German U-21 international have a real chance of being included in the Team of the Season (TOTS)? At the moment, it doesn’t look that way. But if he continues to score goals in the Bundesliga, he could at least be nominated. And then it’s also up to the community whether he gets a special object in FC 25.

Incidentally, Woltemade’s only FUT card shows 65 points for penalties – a value that has not yet been adjusted in Career or other modes in FC 25. This is in stark contrast to Serge Gnabry: the Bayern Munich star was harshly punished by EA SPORTS after his most recent miss.
