Tennis pro Struff misses final in Gstaad

It would have been Jan-Lennard Struff’s first tennis final since winning the title in Munich in April. But a Frenchman is too strong

Jan-Lennard Struff misses out on a place in the final of the ATP tennis tournament in Gstaad, Switzerland. After 1:22 hours of play, the 34-year-old lost 3:6, 6:7 (2:7) to Frenchman Quentin Halys. It would have been the Warstein native’s first appearance in the final since winning the title in Munich in April. Struff, ranked 26th in the world, was unable to confirm his previous performances against the world number 192. In the final, Halys will face the Greek top seed Stefanos Tsitsipas or the Italian Matteo Berrettini (6).
