Tennis pro Eva Lys missed out on the quarter-finals at the WTA tournament in Seoul. The 21-year-old from Hamburg had to retire in the round of 16 against Czech fourth seed Marie Bouzkova after losing the first set 1:6 due to injury, the reason she gave on the social media platform X was shoulder pain.
The only German player in the tournament had started the tournament with a clear two-set win over Slovakia’s Anna Karolina Schmiedlova.
