St. Petersburg – German women’s hope Jule Niemeier has made it into the main draw at the tennis tournament in St. Petersburg.
The 22-year-old from Dortmund won in the third round of qualifying against the Russian Erika Andrejewa with 4:6, 6:1, 6:1.
With Niemeier and veteran Andrea Petkovic, two German players are now in the main draw of the WTA event, which is worth 768,680 dollars.
