A tennis dream couple announces their engagement. Numerous tennis stars are happy for Katie Boulter and Alex de Minaur. The two managed to achieve something remarkable twice over the course of the year.
Tennis stars Katie Boulter and Alex de Minaur announced their engagement just before Christmas – and half the tennis world is celebrating with them.
“We had a little secret,” the Briton wrote on her Instagram account, posting a photo of herself smiling with her Australian partner.
The ring on Boulters hand is striking, which she has put her arm around de Minaur’s shoulder so that it can be clearly seen.

Her tennis colleagues reacted enthusiastically. Among others, superstar Novak Djokovic also liked the post. Numerous stars such as Paula Badosa, Emma Raducanu, Marta Kostyuk and also German tennis talent Eva Lys even left a comment. Lys wrote: “I’m in tears! Congratulations!” Minaur’s Australian compatriot Thanasi Kokkinakis quipped: “It’s about time.”
Noteworthy: De Minaur, 25, and Boulter, 28, start the season at the United Cup in Sydney this week – and will face each other as fiances. After their opening matches with Argentina, Australia and Great Britain will face each other on New Year’s Day.
De Minaur is currently ranked ninth in the world and caused a stir at the beginning of the year by beating Djokovic. Boulter is sniffing the top 20 after a strong season at number 24.
Both also caused something of an upset when they won tournaments on the same weekend twice that year. When this happened for the first time in March, de Minaur even boarded a plane after his triumph in Mexico to make it to San Diego in time for Boulter’s final.
