SK Nebula is the first valorant women’s team to be sponsored by SK Gaming. A scouting tournament will be held to find talented players to form the team
The portfolio of Deutsche Telekom’s Equal eSports initiative is being expanded. As the company announced, the newly created SK Nebula will be the first valorant women’s team sponsored by SK Gaming. Another milestone in the initiative, which was launched in 2021 by the esports player foundation, Deutsche Telekom and SK Gaming. The aim is to explicitly address and promote “female and non-binary players” – and is now being expanded.
Scouting tournament for team composition
The foundations of the team are laid at the SK Gaming Valorant Scouting Grounds competition. There, ten selected players can “prove their skills under the guidance of professional coaches”, according to the official announcement. Ultimately, the best talents from the competition will form the team that will compete in Project Queens, the German Valorant League for women, from May to the end of the year. The aim is to qualify for the Valorant Game Changers, the highest European league for women.
