Formula 1 has landed a new partner in Chinese company Lenovo, which is to become the title sponsor of two Grands Prix, among other things
Formula 1 has announced a new global partner in technology giant Lenovo, which will also become the title sponsor of two Grands Prix from the 2025 season – presumably including the Japanese Grand Prix. In addition, sub-brand Motorola will support the premier class as a global smartphone partner
This Thursday’s announcement also states that Lenovo will “provide Formula 1 with cutting-edge technology devices, solutions and services” to “support the delivery of the Grands Prix at the track and remotely”.
“I am delighted that Lenovo will become a global partner of Formula 1,” said Formula 1 boss Stefano Domenicali. “Since joining the sport, Lenovo’s creativity and passion for technology and innovation has supported Formula 1’s ambition to create more once-in-a-lifetime moments for fans.”
“Today marks a new chapter in a partnership that can only get stronger. I look forward to continuing our work with Lenovo and leveraging our shared commitment to precision, innovation and sustainability to ensure that Formula 1 remains the most technologically advanced sport in the world for years to come,” said the Italian.
The collaboration between Formula 1 and the Chinese company will also extend to technology areas such as artificial intelligence and virtual reality, as well as greater sustainability.
