Miami – Tennis talent Nastasja Schunk missed out on a second-round berth in her first appearance at a WTA 1000 tournament.
The 18-year-old lost in Miami to Kazakhstan’s Julia Putintseva in three sets 6:4, 3:6, 1:6. Schunk is ranked 243rd in the world and had received a wildcard for the hard court tournament, which is endowed with around 8.58 million US dollars. Of the German women, Angelique Kerber and Laura Siegemund are still participating in Miami.
