The German Taekwondo sport mourns the death of Rainer Müller. Germany’s first world champion succumbed to cancer last week at the age of 69. This was announced by the German Taekwondo Union (DTU) on Saturday.
Müller had won the title in the light-middleweight category (up to 73 kg) at the World Championships in Sindelfingen in 1979. A year earlier, he had already become European champion.
