Freudenberg KTM rider Lennox Lehmann shows a strong race at home race in Most – One rider hospitalised with a head injury
Lennox Lehmann from the Saxon Freudenberg team made it onto the podium at the Supersport 300 World Championship in Most. In the second race, the rider from Dresden finished third with his KTM. The race was won by Kawasaki rider Victor Steeman, who celebrated his third victory in the class.
The second race of the Supersport 300 World Championship, which took place directly behind the second round of the Superbike World Championship, had to be abandoned twice. Already at the start there was an incident on the straight involving four riders.
Indy Offer (Yamaha) suffered a head injury and was taken to the medical centre and later to Most hospital. The race, reduced to 14 laps, later had to be stopped again after a crash by Alessandro Zanca (Kawasaki). With two thirds of the race distance completed, there was no further restart.
Lennox Lehmann, who finished eleventh in race one on Saturday, goes into the summer break in seventh place in the World Championship with 90 points. Fellow countryman Dirk Geiger (Kawasaki) finished sixth in race two and is 13th in the championship.
