Strong Struff in Olympic form

Jan-Lennard Struff is in strong form shortly before the Olympics. A Frenchman awaits in the semi-finals in Gstaad

Tennis pro Jan-Lennard Struff (34) continues to be in strong form as he prepares for the Olympic Games. The Warstein native advanced to the semi-finals of the ATP tournament in Gstaad, Switzerland, with a 7:5, 3:6, 6:3 win over fourth seed Tomas Martin Etcheverry from Argentina, where he will meet Frenchman Quentin Halys.

Struff already in Olympic form

This is Struff’s first semi-final appearance since winning the title at the tournament in Munich in April. He had already shown strong nerves and impressed in his first two matches at the clay court tournament with prize money of 651,865 euros. On Friday, he converted his second match point after just over two hours of play.

The tournament in Switzerland is used by many professionals to prepare for the Olympic competitions (July 26 to August 11) in Paris. In the French capital, the medal winners will be determined on the same surface at the Roland Garros French Open
