On Tuesday afternoon, VfB Stuttgart started the training week before the away match in Wolfsburg on Saturday (18.30), but without Silas. The winger was absent due to stomach problems. Roberto Massimo, on the other hand, has already returned.
In the 2-2 draw against Hertha on Sunday, Massimo was substituted at half-time “Robi had dizziness and nausea, he threw up during the break and signalled that he couldn’t go on. That’s why he had to go down,” Pellegrino Matarazzo had explained after the game. Two days later, Massimo is feeling better again, he was on the training pitch with his colleagues.
But his colleague Silas had to pull out at the start of the training week with an upset stomach. VfB are expecting him to be able to return soon Silas, who has recently been used twice as a wild card after a long injury lay-off, should therefore also be available for this role in Wolfsburg.
On Tuesday, the VfB professionals trained in two groups. Sasa Kalajdzic, a convalescent, also joined the players who had been used on Sunday and were therefore put through their paces. The sorely missed attacker is being integrated step by step into team training after a shoulder dislocation. He is already on the ball, but is still being protected from duels. A comeback in January is still the goal.
