George Foreman is one of the best boxers of all time. Now serious allegations are being made against the former heavyweight champion of the world.
Tough allegations against George Foreman!
The ex-boxer allegedly abused two underage girls decades ago. The women involved have now filed a lawsuit in California, accusing the now 73-year-old of first sexually molesting them around 50 years ago and later forcing them to have sex.
According to the indictment, the two girls, who were still minors at the time, were even abused twice – once in a hotel in San Francisco and once in his flat in Beverly Hills.
Foreman allegedly blackmailed the children. He threatened to fire their fathers, who worked as sparring partners and advisors for the American, if they told anyone about it.
Foreman denies allegations
The former world heavyweight champion, who was apparently expecting to be sued, already denied the allegations in a statement last month.
“Over the past six months, two women have attempted to extort millions of dollars from my family and me. They falsely claim that I sexually assaulted them over 45 years ago in the 1970s. I strongly deny these allegations,” the ex-athlete said.
He added: “I will work with my lawyers to fully and truthfully expose my accusers’ scheme and defend myself in court. I’m not looking for fights, but I’m not running either. “
