Germany’s second-best tennis player is completely repositioning himself. After the separation from former Davis Cup captain Carsten Arriens, Jan-Lennard Struff will announce the next important decision on New Year’s Eve.
German tennis pro Jan-Lennard Struff has ended his collaboration with his coach Marvin Netuschil, thereby furthering the personnel restructuring in his coaching staff.
“Marvin and I have discussed this intensively and have come to the conclusion that we would like to clearly separate our private and professional lives, despite the great success of our collaboration,” Struff announced on New Year’s Eve in a statement published on Instagram together with Netuschil.
The end of the collaboration between Struff and former Davis Cup captain Carsten Arriens at the end of the 2024 season had already been communicated in September.
The German number two now looks back on his work with Netuschil “very positively and with great pleasure”. Together, the duo celebrated “extremely great successes” such as reaching the final of the ATP Masters in Madrid in 2023.
“We have great respect for the sport and appreciate what we have achieved and experienced,” said Netuschil, who had been Struff’s coach since the beginning of 2023: ‘I wish Jan only the best for the future.’
