In the first quarter-final of the Club World Cup, the Asian representative, the Urawa Red Diamonds from Japan, narrowly beat Club Leon. The second semi-finalist for the Club World Cup was determined on Friday evening by the African representative Al Ahly (Egypt) with ex-Cologne player Anthony Modeste and Al-Ittihad FC from Saudi Arabia. The duel ended 3:1 for the club from Egypt’s capital Cairo.
