Mohamed Salah is on track at Liverpool. The Egyptian under manager Jürgen Klopp shone and has recently been declared African Player of the Year by the BBC. Didier Drogba received this honour in 2009 and in conversation with the British television station, the Ivorian says that his former teammate is becoming a’ boss’.
Drogba played together with Salah at Chelsea in 2014, but the Blues didn’t show up with the latter player,”He’s a boss and leader. We see it with the national team and we also see it at Liverpool. You can see from his way of cheerfulness that he knows what he is doing. He doesn’t get really crazy. He’s just going out of his tongue to say,” Yes, I’m it!
Drogba expects that Salah will be crucial to Egypt’s performance at the World Cup in Russia next year:”On his own Mo Salah cannot win the World Cup, but if all his teammates will act at the level what the continent expects of them, Mo Salah can be a fantastic player and become one of the stars of the World Cup.
“There was a time when he sent me text messages’ too:’ I’m not scoring, I don’t know why,’ I said:’ It’s just a matter of time and trust,’ If you have the confidence, everything can happen. And now you see that he makes goals. I have seen how he has improved in recent years. He had to come back to England to show that he is indeed the player we believed in.
