Mohamed Salah entered the conversation for the best player on the planet with his performances last season. Best players tend to be confident, border-line arrogant confident. Salah doesn’t lack that trait.

In a recent interview with French journal France Football, the Egyptian talked about this season’s expectations.
“Last season we knocked out Manchester City, then Roma, who had just beaten Barca in the quarter-finals. Each time, they were incredible games,”
“We played against teams challenging for the title and we still managed to reach the final, so of course we can do it again.”
“I’m sure of it. We can even win both, the Champions League and the Premier League. I don’t want us to put pressure on ourselves, but yes, everything is possible.”
Salah can’t wait to face PSG
If he doesn’t want to add pressure, Reds’ fans will. Liverpool has coped with it just fine so far, winning every game played. Next on the schedule is a meeting with French powerhouse Paris Saint-Germain, a team equally capable of scoring goals as Liverpool. Mohamed Salah is definitely looking forward to taking on the French giants.
“PSG have some very good individuals and a great team. I’m looking forward to playing them. I’m looking forward to a very enjoyable and intense encounter.”
Napoli and Serbian champions Crvena Zvezda are the remaining two teams in what should be a very exciting group to watch.

Salah talks Klopp, Firmino-Mane partnership and more
Salah also shared his thoughts on the relationship with manager Jurgen Klopp, the partnership with Firmino and Mane and the difference between football in Italy and England.
On Klopp:
“From my first day at the Reds, he treated me like a friend.”
“All I can say is that he knows how to treat each player mentally. Everyone feels, good with him.”
On Firmino-Mane partnership:
“There is a real solidarity between us because we do not care who will score the most or first. Everyone works to make sure the other scores. And as you can see, we all score … “
On Serie A vs. Premier League:
“There is, of course, a tactical scheme, but it [Premier League] is very physical and power-oriented because you run from one side to the other. We do a lot of gym sessions, focus on speed and quickness because the matches here are much more rhythmic. In Italy, it’s more difficult to use your speed because it’s the tactics that prevail. ”

The number of goals scored by Salah in the Champions League is improving on the ten goals he scored last season, five less than top scorer Cristiano Ronaldo and avoiding injuries such as the one which forced him out of the 2017/18 final.
