The former Wimbledon champion clearly prevailed in the final. For Rybakina, it is the seventh triumph of her career
Kazakhstan’s Yelena Rybakina has won the seventh title of her tennis career at the WTA tournament in Abu Dhabi. The 2022 Wimbledon winner, seeded number one in the United Arab Emirates, barely gave Russian Darya Kassatkina a chance in the final, winning 6:1, 6:4. Rybakina (24) will receive 142,000 dollars in prize money, having already triumphed in Brisbane this season.
There were no German players at the hard-court tournament, which has prize money of almost one million dollars, but three top 10 players: Rybakina, Ons Jabeur (Tunisia) and Maria Sakkari.
