Munich – After top favourite Alexander Zverev, number two seed Casper Ruud was also eliminated from the tennis tournament in Munich. The Norwegian lost in the quarter-finals to Dutchman Botic van de Zandschulp 5:7, 1:6.
In the second semi-final of his career, van de Zandschulp will meet Serb Miomir Kecmanovic on Saturday.
Olympic champion Zverev had already lost in the round of 16 at the traditional event at the Iphitos facility. Oscar Otte is the only German who still has a chance to reach the semi-finals on Friday. The player from Cologne will meet Alejandro Tabilo from Chile.
