Petr Ruman returns to SpVgg Greuther Fürth. The former professional will once again take over the U 23s after parting ways with coach Dominic Rühl, while there will also be a rotation of personnel at the U 19s.
Ruman, who coached Türkgücü München until September this year, returns to his old position with the Kleeblättler. The 45-year-old, who had already led the U23s from 2018 to 2021, will take over from Rühl, from whom the Franconians have parted ways, at the regional league club (currently in 19th place), which is in serious danger of relegation, until the end of the season.
Hilbert for Ried
Fürth is also making a personnel change at the U 19: Former Fürth professional and international Roberto Hilbert will be the new coach there, replacing the previous coach Marco Ried
“These decisions don’t just have something to do with the standings,” Mirko Reichel emphasised in the SpVgg press release. “We want to make steady progress and push our further development,” said the sporting director of the Kleeblatt academy, explaining the approach.
“Petr knows Spielvereinigung and our youth development centre very well, which is why we decided to take this step. Roberto has also been with us at the NLZ for a long time and can now take the next step in his career. I would like to thank Dominic and Marco for their many years of commitment and of course wish them both all the best for their future. “
