Reuter tested positive and in isolation

At FC Augsburg everyone is vaccinated. However, the Bavarian Swabians are not spared vaccination breakthroughs. Now sports managing director Stefan Reuter has been hit.

On Sunday after the match in Wolfsburg, the 1990 World Champion had complained of health problems. Quick and PCR tests followed, which brought a final positive result yesterday. The Augsburg sports boss is now in domestic isolation with symptoms.

“I would like to thank our team doctors for the very good care. Now I am already on the road to recovery. However, I will of course comply with all quarantine guidelines before making physical contact on site again,” Reuter is quoted as saying on the club’s website.

The fact that Reuter has not been near the team since Sunday has obviously prevented worse. All rapid as well as PCR tests that players, the coaching and support team have undergone have come back negative. “These are difficult times and we will not be spared such things either,” says coach Markus Weinzierl, who is glad “that the players are negative. Now we wish Stefan the best, that he gets well quickly. “

The vaccination breakthrough in the FCA manager is not the first case at Augsburg. At the start of the season, midfielder Daniel Caligiuri was hit, who was also fully vaccinated and returned to the team after two weeks in isolation. It is currently not clear how long Reuter will remain in isolation.
