Boris Becker will join the coaching team of Danish tennis pro Holger Rune, according to a media report. As reported by the TV channel Sky, the 55-year-old is to be at the side of the current number six in the world rankings as a so-called super coach at selected tournaments in the future.
Lars Christensen, however, will continue to coach the Dane. For his part, the 20-year-old posted a group photo on Instagram with himself, Becker and his team. “Great week of training in Monaco,” Rune wrote. Boris Becker did not initially respond to a request for comment.
Lately, Becker was back in action as a television pundit after he was released from prison for tax offences in Great Britain last December. As a coach, the former world-class player celebrated successes with 24-time Grand Slam winner Novak Djokovic (Serbia) between 2013 and 2016.
