Bitter news for Carlo Ancelotti and Real Madrid: the coach of the royals has contracted the corona virus. Now the Italian’s son is stepping in.
After the crushing 0:4 in the Clasico, Real Madrid must redeem themselves without their head coach for the time being: Carlo Ancelotti (62) tested positive for the corona virus and has gone into domestic isolation.
This will certainly cause the Italian to miss the league match at Celta Vigo on Saturday and probably also the Champions League quarter-final first leg at his ex-club Chelsea FC next Wednesday.
Ancelotti’s replacement, by the way, bears his name: Co-coach Davide Ancelotti is the son of the 2003, 2007 and 2014 Champions League winner and will replace his father as interim boss on the sidelines.
