Kylian Mbappé and a move to Real Madrid – a seemingly endless topic. On Saturday, the Blancos even made an official statement on the matter
Real board member José Manuel Otero Lastres had recently made statements to this effect in a Twitch stream (“Mbappé will be around 25 years old. He still has many years left with us”), prompting numerous media reports with speculation about talks between the Whites and the PSG superstar.
The Frenchman has already turned 25 and will celebrate his 26th birthday shortly before Christmas. If Lastres is to be believed, the transfer would be imminent. However, the Blancos denied in an official statement on Saturday that both parties were negotiating.

“Real Madrid would like to state that this information is completely false and that no such negotiations have taken place with a player belonging to PSG,” the club announced.
Mbappé’s contract with Paris Saint-Germain runs until the end of June next year, at which point he could leave the club on a free transfer. However, according to regulations, Real are only allowed to hold talks with the player six months before the end of his contract without informing PSG.
The goal machine is running like clockwork
However, a contract extension with the French champions is considered almost impossible, as the attacking star let an option for a further year expire last summer. This led to a rift between the professional and the club’s management, but Mbappé was reprieved shortly afterwards.
With ten goals in ten league games, he is currently the top scorer in Ligue 1. In the Champions League, Mbappé scored against both Dortmund and Milan.
