Prosecutor’s Office: Djokovic’s PCR tests are valid

Belgrade – The Serbian prosecutor’s office has rejected a complaint that tennis world number one Novak Djokovic used false PCR tests for the coronavirus for his entry into Australia.

The results of the tests were authentic, a statement from the agency said. “It has been established that Novak Djokovic has been tested multiple times and that the certificates of test results dated 16/12/2021 and 22/12/2021 are valid.”

Djokovic, who had not been vaccinated against Covid-19, had tried to enter the Australian Open via an exemption. He pointed out that he had recovered from an infection, citing a positive test on 16 December and a negative certificate six days later. There were doubts about this. In the end, his visa was cancelled. The tennis star finally had to leave shortly before the start of the tournament.

Strict corona rules apply in Australia. Basically, only fully protected people are allowed to enter the country.
