“Prestigious and timeless”: FIFA presents the Club World Cup trophy

The new FIFA Club World Cup will premiere next summer. The organizer has now presented the official trophy, which is intended to be a ‘symbol for the future, inspired by the past’.

On June 15, 2025, the new FIFA Club World Cup will kick off for the first time. The tournament will take place in twelve stadiums in eleven cities in the host country USA until July 13. The participants now also know what 32 clubs from all over the world – including Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich from Germany – will be competing for: FIFA has presented the brand new trophy.

Together with the jewelry manufacturer Tiffany & Co., the world association designed the trophy, which, according to the official announcement, is designed with “elements from the long history of football”. “The new FIFA Club World Cup, which is truly innovative, inclusive, groundbreaking and global with 32 teams, deserves a trophy that expresses all of this. It is both prestigious and timeless – a golden trophy symbolizing the future, inspired by the past,” enthused FIFA President Gianni Infantino in the official announcement.

The trophy, which is decorated with 24 carat gold, features a laser-engraved map of the world and the names of all 211 FIFA member associations and the six confederations. According to FIFA, “as a symbol of the geographical and cultural diversity of football.” Inscriptions in 13 languages and other small design elements adorn the trophy, along with enough space to engrave the coats of arms of the winners of the upcoming tournaments.

The FIFA Club World Cup trophy is the next chapter in our long history of creating countless coveted symbols of sporting excellence,” explains Anthony Ledru, President and CEO of the jewelry manufacturer.

The winners of the new format will receive a replica of the trophy, identical to the original, with the club’s name and emblem engraved on it, along with the dates of the World Cup title. The trophy will be officially presented on Thursday, December 5 at the tournament draw in Miami.
