Zweitligist SC Paderborn has a new presidium. After the resignation of Elmar Volkmann and Dr. Rüdiger Völkel, which had been certain for some time, a new trio has been formed, headed by Thomas Sagel.
The SCP supervisory board appointed Sagel (58) to the presidency, Carsten Linnemann and Ralph-Jörg Wezorke will act as vice-presidents in future. Despite their resignation, Volkmann and Dr. Völkel will continue to provide the club with advice and support.
“We are very pleased to be appointed to the Presidium. Together with our comrades-in-arms, we have set up the best-equipped club for the future after the death of our long-time president Wilfried Finke,” said Sagel, who was active as a player with the predecessor club TuS Paderborn Neuhaus: “In this respect, the current personnel change does not mark a turning point. We want to continue on the successful path of the recent past.
