Goncalo Paciencia returned to team training for Eintracht Frankfurt on Tuesday, but has not yet completed the entire programme. Christopher Lenz, on the other hand, continued to be absent, and Sebastian Rode also only trained individually.
After his unsuccessful loan to Schalke 04 last season, Goncalo Paciencia is still not getting anywhere after his return to Eintracht. The Portuguese had to be patient for a long time before he was allowed to start for the first time in the home match against Olympiakos Piraeus four weeks ago and recommended himself for further appearances. Just three days later, he was again in the starting eleven in Bochum, but missed a penalty kick in the opening phase and had to be substituted before half-time due to a muscular thigh injury.
On Tuesday afternoon, the striker returned to training and completed at least the first part with the team, later doing some individual running and shooting exercises during a training match. It remains to be seen whether Paciencia will be able to return to the squad as early as Sunday in Freiburg.
Lenz and Rode are still only training individually
Definitely missing will be Lenz, who has been out since mid-September due to a muscular injury. Hopes of a return to team training during the international break seem to be dashed, and on Tuesday the newcomer from Union Berlin only trained individually in the professional camp.
Captain Sebastian Rode also completed his own programme there. The midfielder was used as a wild card a few times recently, but the strain has to be dosed very carefully after an arthroscopic operation on his left knee in August.
