Who will ride for which team in the 2025 MotoGP season? While some riders decided early on, many places are still vacant – the current status can be found here
The MotoGP “Silly Season” began this year, even before the first race was held. Reigning world champion Francesco Bagnaia extended his rider contract with Ducati at the beginning of March. The Italian will compete in the premier class as a Ducati works rider up to and including 2026
At the start of the season, only three other riders besides him had contracts that extend beyond the current season. Brad Binder signed his contract extension with KTM last year, committing himself until the end of 2026.
In addition, Honda newcomers Luca Marini in the factory team and Johann Zarco at LCR each secured two-year contracts until the end of 2025 with their move.
Apart from that, all remaining rider contracts expired this year before the start of the 2024 season. However, a lot has happened since then. We summarize all transfers on the MotoGP rider market in this overview
