Davis Cup player Oscar Otte celebrated a recently rare sense of achievement on the tennis tour. In Florence, the 29-year-old from Cologne turned around his opening match against Marton Fucsovics from Hungary after losing the first set and prevailed 3:6, 6:4, 6:2.
After Wimbledon, the world No. 55 had knee surgery and has only won one match since then. Otte is the only German participant in the €612,000 tournament in Florence. He will now face the number one seed Felix Auger-Aliassime from Canada in the round of 16.
