RB Leipzig defender Willi Orban has resumed individual training after his Corona infection – and called for vaccination on Instagram.
The last time Orban was on the pitch was on 20 November in the 0:2 at Hoffenheim before the Hungarian fell ill and tested positive for the corona virus. The defender shared on Instagram on Wednesday that he was suffering from a slight fever, loss of taste and smell and other mild symptoms.
Also on Wednesday, Orban, who has since recovered and tested negative, returned to the training pitch to prepare individually for an imminent comeback.
“It doesn’t matter if we are 29, 42 or 68… “
On Instagram, the 29-year-old also called for people to get vaccinated as even footballers would not be spared from an infection despite their fitness. “Whether we are 29, 42 or 68. COVID-19 does not stop there. Therefore, let us stand together as a society and get vaccinated or boostered as soon as possible,” Orban writes on the internet platform.
