Only 3000 tickets for Frankfurt fans – warning from West Ham

Next week, Eintracht Frankfurt will play in the semi-finals of the Europa League in London. However, there will probably be no fan party against West Ham like the last one in Barcelona.

It will hardly be possible to prevent another wave of travel from Hesse next week, even though the Easter holidays will be long over by then. However, there will be no “hostile” takeover of the stadium in London in the semi-final at West Ham, as recently happened at Barcelona.

As announced by Hessen, the SGE will only receive the mandatory guest quota of 3000 tickets for the first leg at the Olympiastadion. As demand will far exceed supply, the club will give priority to away season ticket holders, frequent travellers and official fan clubs. After the end of the ordering period this Friday, all applicants will first be informed of the success of their application.

West Ham warns Frankfurt of zero tolerance policy

On its website, Eintracht expressly warns against third-party providers and online platforms that are not officially authorised. In addition, the Hessians point out that supporters with tickets for areas other than those intended and allocated for the guest contingent will not be allowed into the stadium or will be expelled from the stadium. “West Ham United have expressly pointed out this ‘zero tolerance policy’, which is common in England,” said the SGE. The second leg will take place in Frankfurt on 5 May (21:00).

In the quarter-final second leg against FC Barcelona (3:2), more than 25,000 Eintracht supporters came to the Camp Nou, although the club had officially received only slightly less than 5,000 tickets.
