Juventus have signed the current top scorer in Serie A: Dusan Vlahovic moves from Florence to Turin on his birthday – a costly move.
The fact that Dusan Vlahovic is playing another outstanding season has of course not gone unnoticed by Juventus Turin. The attacker scored 17 goals in 21 Serie A games for AC Florence and thus leads the goalscoring charts together with Lazio’s Ciro Immobile. In total, the Serbian international has 44 goals in 98 games in Italy’s top league.
From now on, Juventus wants to profit from his hunger for goals. Since Friday evening, the most expensive transfer of the winter transfer window so far has been completed: according to the Old Lady, they will pay a transfer fee of 70 million euros to Fiorentina, which is payable in three years and can still rise up to 80 million euros via bonus payments. Vlahovic signed a contract until the summer of 2026 on his 22nd birthday.
Initially, there had been rumours that the man from Belgrade, who had refused to extend his contract in Florence until 2023, would move to Arsenal. But now he is staying in Italy and will be given Cristiano Ronaldo’s former number at Juve, the club he really wanted to join: the ex-champion announced the new arrival as “DV7”.
