RB Leipzig can rely on Dani Olmo, Konrad Laimer and Brian Brobbey again for next Saturday’s league match at Eintracht Frankfurt.
This was announced by coach Jesse Marsch after the cup match at SV Babelsberg (1-0). Olmo had most recently been out since the end of September due to a torn muscle fibre in his thigh and, due to his participation in the European Championship and the Olympic Games, has only played three competitive games for the Saxons this season anyway: in the league against Bayern Munich (1:4) and at 1. FC Köln (1:1) as well as in the Champions League at Manchester City (3:6).
Brobbey had recently missed the games in Freiburg (1:1), at Paris St. Germain (2:3) and against Fürth (4:1) due to muscular problems, while Laimer – also due to muscular complaints – had only missed the home game against Fürth.
Laimer “can be an issue from the start “
Now all three are expected to return to the squad. “Dani and Brian were injured for a bit longer. I think they can both be a possibility off the bench,” Marsch said. “With Konny, I hope he can train on Thursday. He can be an issue from the start. “
