Old Firm derby confirmed: Glasgow Rangers coming to UFL

Just recently Celtic Glasgow was confirmed for UFL, now the local rival is also coming into play: Glasgow Rangers will be represented in the upcoming football simulation game.

Fans of Scottish football can rejoice. First came the announcement that Celtic Glasgow will be partnering with developer and publisher Strikerz Inc. for their upcoming football game UFL, now it’s the turn of local rivals. Glasgow Rangers is the latest official partner and will be making a licensed appearance in UFL.

The reigning Scottish Premiership champions join a selection of illustrious names including Borussia Mönchengladbach, Sporting Lisbon and Schachtar Donetsk. Like these clubs, Rangers will be included in the free-to-play football simulation with licensed players and accurately modelled stadiums.

“The fan base will be excited to join the UFL gaming community “

Like some partners before, the current parties involved are also highly euphoric about this partnership. Director of Commercial & Marketing at Glasgow Rangers, James Bisgrove, raves about the game in particularly high tones:

“We’ve already seen gameplay for Ibrox Stadium from UFL and it looks fantastic. We’re sure the Rangers global fanbase will be very excited to join the UFL gaming community. “

This will allow players to play out the legendary “Old Firm” in the free-to-play sports simulation. Whether the fantastic derby atmosphere will really come up remains to be seen, as no gameplay from UFL has been shown yet. However, the first unveiling of in-game material is imminent.
