Tennis player Jule Niemeier has clearly missed out on a place in the quarter-finals of the WTA tournament in Bogotá. The 24-year-old from Dortmund lost to fourth seed Cristina Bucsa from Spain 4:6, 1:6 in 88 minutes. Niemeier made a total of 13 double faults in the match.
After a sporting crisis, the former Wimbledon quarter-finalist is trying to regain her old form. Niemeier last reached the top eight at a WTA tournament in July 2023. She failed to qualify for the Australian Open this year. Niemeier is ranked 113th in the world rankings.
