On the latest edition of the TV show Friday Night SmackDown, hints that former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley is forging a new alliance have come true. On the night before the summer highlight SummerSlam, it put the first exclamation point on it.
Bobby Lashley and Street Profits form trio
The Street Profits, Lashley’s new fighting companions with whom he had “appraised” talks a few weeks ago, now showed up in the ring alongside him for the first time and sent a signal to their colleagues.
Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford blew up a match between the O.C. (Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows) and the Brawling Brutes (Butch and Ridge Holland), attacking both teams and causing the fight to be stopped.
Lashley then followed Dawkins and Ford to the ring and embraced them both to the cheers of the fans.

It appears to be the next career move for former tag team champions Ford and Dawkins, who have also recommended themselves for eventual singles careers in recent years with strong in-ring performances.
Ford in particular – husband of top female star Bianca Belair – is highly touted as an upcoming star, but Dawkins has also made a big leap in development in recent years.
The pairing with top star Lashley enhances both and could also have implications for title action: Lashley is one of the few major stars who hasn’t had a title feud with “Undisputed Universal Champiion” Roman Reigns.
Reigns faces his nephew Jey Uso in a “Tribal Conbat” that night, with the title and the job as leader of the fractured Bloodline clan at stake. Jey put one last exclamation mark on SmackDown when he defeated his up-and-coming young brother Solo Sikoa – who is on Reigns’ side in the “Bloodline Civil War” – in the show’s main event.
