After the end of the partnership with Gazprom, Schalke is looking for a new shirt sponsor.
The GmbH, which has an annual turnover of 833.7 million euros (2020) and over 2,000 employees, is based in Essen, but its head office is located on the site of the former Nordstern colliery in Gelsenkirchen-Horst, one coal throw away from the arena. Vivawest manages about 120,000 flats in about 100 municipalities in West Germany, in addition to Gelsenkirchen also in Düsseldorf, Cologne and Duisburg.
Monday afternoon, Schalke 04 announced that the club’s board of directors and supervisory board had decided to end the partnership with Gazprom. Talks are currently being held with representatives of the current main sponsor.
In addition, the club’s management is “confident that it will be able to present a new partner in the near future”. This partner may already have been found.
