The first Gamevasion powered by DreamHack will be held at the Hannover Messe in early December. However, it will only provide strategic support and advice
A new “gaming lifestyle festival” is to take place at the Hannover Messe from December 5 to 8: The Gamevasion powered by DreamHack. This was announced by Freaks 4U Gaming in a press release.
The Berlin agency acquired the license for DreamHack in Germany in 2022 – there have been two editions since then. However, this license agreement will expire at the end of 2024, but they still want to create a “gaming community festival” – “this year under a new brand and with strategic support and advice from DreamHack. ”
2020 still three of us – 2024 alone
However, the name Gamevasion is not entirely new. It was launched in 2020 as an online gaming festival by Rocket Beans, Instinct3 and Freaks 4U Gaming to continue providing entertainment for the community at home during the COVID measures. For the on-site festival in Hanover, Freaks 4U Gaming will continue the Gamevasion brand on its own.
“After many months of planning, we are excited to bring the gaming festival back to Hannover in December. We are grateful to Deutsche Messe for playing a crucial role in making it happen,” said Michael Haenisch, CEO of Freaks 4U Gaming, in the statement: ‘Gamevasion powered by DreamHack is set to be a dynamic and inclusive festival that celebrates the diversity of gaming culture and offers visitors unforgettable experiences. ’
The festival will open on December 5 with a BYOC LAN party, before the expo with gaming stations, cosplay area, artist alley, trading card game area and tournaments kicks off a day later. Both end on December 8th
