It has been a long time since LA Lakers were given good odds for NBA season win totals but with LeBron James now wearing their jersey, things look more optimistic for them. Warriors are favourites again
It is no real surprise that the Warriors are the only team expected to win at least 60 games, with the five other teams above the 50-win prediction being Houston Rockets, Boston Celtics, Philadelphia 76ers, Toronto Raptors and Oklahoma City Thunder.
How LeBron James move affects LA Lakers and Cleveland Cavaliers
LA Lakers have been given an over/under of 48.5 wins, despite only managing 35 wins last season. So the huge increase is all down to The King coming to LA, with LeBron James expected to significantly boost their win rate.
Life without James for Cleveland Cavaliers is not expected to be nearly as successful. Last year they achieved 50 wins but the odds this season have them down for 30.5 wins. So the departure of LeBron is anticipated to hit them very hard.
