NBA 2K24: Upgrades for German world champion duo

After the start of the regular season in the NBA, 2K has adjusted the virtual ratings of some players. With Dennis Schröder and Moritz Wagner, two world champions benefit

Two world champions at eye level: Both the Toronto Raptors and Orlando Magic have started the new regular season with four wins from eight games. Both franchises have a World Cup winner from Germany in their squads: Dennis Schröder plays for the Raptors, Moritz Wagner for the Orlando Magic.

Both now benefit from upgrades to their overall rating in NBA 2K24. While Wagner receives one point on his previous overall rating of 76 and now stands at 77, Schröder even gets three plus points. This takes him over the 80 mark. The 30-year-old played strongly in the away win in Dallas – Schröder scored 18 points, had five assists, two rebounds, two steals and a block. As a result, he once again played a big part in the Raptors winning their second game in a row.

Curry and Embiid close the gap to Jokic

The two world champions are not the only ones who can look forward to an upgrade in NBA 2K24. There have been upward adjustments for a number of other players – such as Joel Embiid and Steph Curry. In the ranking of the best players in the basketball simulation, the two shared second place with LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo at the time of release.

Now Embiid and Curry have left the stars in their wake. Both the Golden State Warriors point guard and Philadelphia 76ers power forward are now tied for second place – thanks to their overall rating, which has now risen to 97. Nikola Jokic remains number one with 98, while rookie Victor Wembanyama still has a long way to go, at least in the game, but he too is taking shape. Due to his outstanding performance so far, his overall rating now stands at 86, which is two points higher than before.

Dereck Lively II received the biggest upgrade. The overall rating of the first-round pick was revised upwards by a whopping seven points and now stands at 79. The highest downgrade, on the other hand, was limited. 2K deducted a maximum of three points, which affected a total of six players – including Andrew Wiggins from the Los Angeles Lakers. They have not started the season too well so far, unlike the defending champions Denver Nuggets. According to the oracle of 2K, however, neither of them will be champions
