Making History
This is now the 16th season Manu and Tony have spent dominating the court together as teammates. As a duo, they made history on Sunday evening during as a result of their victory over the Golden State Warriors. Together they now hold 132 wins. In league annals, this is beyond the record of wins from any other duo.
The past record was held by Parker and Tim Duncan with their total of 131 wins together. In second place Tim and Manu have 126 wins together. This makes it no surprise that Manu and Tony have just set the new record.
16 pts scored at 40 years old
Manu is now being looked out for by the ‘most points for a player aged 40 or over’, crew. This is due to scoring 16 points during the victory over the warriors. Duncan, Karl Malone and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar all have 16+ points aged 40 or over in the playoff games. This makes Manu the fourth player to join the group. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has played many games in which he’s obtained 17+ points at age 40 or older. This means that unfortunately, Ginobili’s 16 points don’t even rank him in the top 20.
