Despite having a permanent offer for Saville and his teammate Wallace was turned down before the August 9 transfer deadline, Boro could still land Saville. Due to the transfer regulations, teams are still able to sign players on loan until 5 pm this Friday, then make the signing permanent when the window in January opens.
Following the approach from Middlesbrough, Saville is believed to have made it clear that he would like to move to the Northeast club. Tony Pulis is very keen to bring the player into his squad and is lining up a loan move that will become permanent for a fee of £5m in January.

Millwall boss Harris confirms there could still be departures from the club
Saville had a very good season with Millwall last year and is a full Northern Irish international. He missed Sunday’s 1-0 defeat to Rotherham with a concussion and his manager Neil Harris confirmed that players could still leave the club, providing that replacements are brought in.
Saville was in the Chelsea youth team
Saville played in the Chelsea youth team before initially going out on loan to Millwall in 2013. He established himself on a further loan to Brentford, where he did enough to earn a permanent move to the Wolves. In 2015 he found himself back on loan at Millwall before signing permanently for them in 2017. Last season he scored 10 goals in 44 appearances for the club.
