A Ferrari F300 in which Michael Schumacher won four races in the 1998 Formula One season will be auctioned off at Monterey Car Week in August
In August, a Formula 1 car driven by Michael Schumacher will once again go under the hammer. At the Monterey Car Week in California, which takes place from 18 to 20 August, the well-known auction house Sothebys will auction off a Ferrari F300 from the 1998 Formula 1 season.
Specifically, the chassis with the number 187, with which Schumacher won the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal for the first time at the time. Subsequently, Schumacher also won the races at Magny-Cours and Silverstone in this car.
A few weeks later, Schumacher also won Ferrari’s home race in Monza with chassis 187. The chassis was subsequently preserved by Ferrari in its original condition after the race.
In September 1999, the chassis was then sold to the current owner, who kept it in unaltered condition in his private collection for over 23 years. In August 2022, the car will be shown to the public again for the first time at auction in the USA.
However, anyone who wants to secure this Formula 1 Ferrari from Schumacher must have a well-filled bank account. The auction house expects a sale price of between six and eight million euros.
