Maodo Lo will play for the Paris Basketball team in the coming season. The 31-year-old is leaving the Italian first division club Olimpia Milano after just one season
Already on Wednesday, the always well-informed Italian journalist Alessandro Saraceno reported that Olimpia Milano was looking for a buyer for Lo. According to the report, head coach Ettore Messina was no longer planning to play with the German international next season, even though he still had a contract.
Just two days later, the point guard has already found a new club in Paris Basketball. Together with T.J. Shorts, the former Telekom Baskets Bonn player, he will form the new backcourt duo. The French capital’s club will take part in the EuroLeague for the first time next season after winning the EuroCup in April.
Maodo Lo began his professional career at Brose Bamberg. He then played two years for FC Bayern Basketball and three more years for Alba Berlin before moving to Milan.
In 21 EuroLeague games last season, Lo averaged 7.6 points (40.3% from three) and 2.7 assists.
