Love affair? Speculation about tennis dream couple

They call each other “soulmates” and even have a joint Instagram account. But suddenly there are break-up rumours surrounding the tennis dream couple.

They are considered the power couple on the tennis tour: Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas and Spanish Paula Badosa are both successful tennis players – and a couple. Or not any more?

It was only in June that the two officially confirmed their relationship, but now rumours of a break-up are doing the rounds. Because on their joint Instagram profile under the name “Tsitsidosa”, where the couple shared amorous pictures with their fans, all of a sudden all of their joint photos have been deleted.

“We are soulmates “

A break-up would come as a surprise, as the couple has always emphasised the special nature of their love affair. Even when Tsitsipas made their love official in June, he said: “Yes, we are a couple. But not only. We are soul mates. I have never felt so attracted and found so much beauty.”

On how love began, the 25-year-old world number five revealed that he first saw Badosa on TV at the 2020 Australian Open. “It’s not often that I see someone on TV and like their energy so much without ever having met them. Then in Rome I wrote her a message. “

Dementi by photo?

They had been fans of each other even before their relationship. “In a way, I feel like I’ve fallen in love for the first time in my life. I never expected it to happen and it gives me a new perspective on life. It makes me a happier person.”

These are big words Tsitsipas chose to describe the relationship. This made the break-up rumours all the more surprising. However, the first all-clear for fans of the couple was not long in coming. On Tuesday, the two published a photo in their story showing them together in Dubai in front of a pool and the famous 828-metre-high Burj Khalifa skyscraper. So all is well in the relationship after all?

Badosa in particular could use some support at the moment. The 25-year-old world No. 56 had to end her season prematurely after her second-round exit from Wimbledon at the beginning of July. She actually wanted to return to the tour at the US Open, but had to back out due to back problems. Having already made it to number two in the world rankings last year, she now fell far behind. Tsitsipas is currently playing the China Open.
